With its many narrow streets and mostly pedestrian center, Aix-en-Provence is best discovered on foot and public transportation. Erin was our walking guide through Aix, she certainly made our visit very enjoyable.
If Aix-en-Provence is not on your bucket list, it is only an oversight. We spent a few hours with Erin who used her intimate knowledge of this beautiful city to show us around. This was enough to convince us to come back and spend more time there, but also to catch a few pictures that we wanted to share.
Known as the city of a Thousand Fountains, Aix is full of charms. It is inviting and beautiful, with a rich history and art scene, a pedestrian-friendly center, exciting markets, and many more surprises.
And it is also quite accessible: a quick TGV ride from Paris.
We took a few pictures to give you a taste of it. You may recognize the Montagne Sainte-Victoire that inspired Cézanne, his atelier is not to be missed…
So, when you go to Aix, make sure to reach out to Erin (https://AixploringProvence.com), she will help you discover this wonderful town and make the most of your time there.
And don’t forget to wear your favorite Tee from TheProvenceMarket!
