David Mounier is one of few “graveurs” (engravers) who uses one of the original techniques. The drawings are etched into a copper plate using a needle. The ink is then rubbed onto the plate and is pressed onto paper using a large mechanical press. The number of prints is limited as the copper progressively wears. We fell in love with David’s representation of the olive tree which can be found everywhere in Provence.
